Scabies is a contagious skin condition that is spread through a mite known as Sarcoptes scabies. It is a dangerous parasite that inhabits the skin folds or most private parts of our skin’s surface.   • Secondly, it is a highly contagious disease, it can spread either from skin-to-skin contact like hugs, handshakes, sex, sharing room, bed, etc or it may happen from using the personal items of scabies patients. If you ever pick up the disease and are diagnosed with it, make sure that you notify everyone within your closed quarters as well as your sexual partners about it. You also need to vacuum or thoroughly clean the upholstered furniture items that may have mites lurking somewhere in them.
