Things you need to avoid during content writing

We all know high-quality content can not increase the credibility of a website but also drive traffic to it. The marketer also starts their using this topic. But what happens if you were to use low-quality content.

Well, it doesn’t help to drive any traffic or increase credibility instead it harms our business makes us lose what we have. So, you must always be very careful when putting content from non-verified sources on your site, the rise and fall of your site may depend on it. Here are some of the bad practices that we should avoid when content writing.

Misleading Contents

This type of content can cause serious damage to your brand’s credibility and reputation. If a visitor visits your site for the title that you have given is the thing that the customer has been searching for, but when he read through the content he found that the content is completed irrelevant to what is mentioned which irritated his and he leaves the site. This type of thing greatly harms your brand image. If you are not careful in some cases might result in your site being blacklisted by the search engine.

Repetition of the same keyword or keyword stuffing

One of the key points when writing content is to use your target keywords efficiently and at a moderate rate. The same goes for the repetition of a certain line of text over and over again. You may think that you are just promoting a line or keyword that you want the search engine to rank you for but in reality, you are doing much harm. Not only does it do harm to your ranking it also irritates the visitor that read such content. They can’t stand such content.

Supposed your targeted keyword is “streaming plug” and you have written “ Streaming plug is a social media platform and you can earn money from streaming plug. The streaming plug is greatly trustworthy. Streaming plug’s payment methods are quite secure and the streaming plug doesn’t take any fee from streaming plug followers or streaming plug streamers.”

On the other hand, if it was written like this “Streaming plug is a social media platform from where you can earn from home online. It’s trustworthy and also has a secure payment system. It also doesn’t take any fee from the streamers or followers” Now after reading them both which one would you choose. For me, it would be the latter. Not only it’s easier to read, but it’s also easier to understand. While reading the first one is really irritating. The lower the ratio of using a keyword, the better for both the visitor and for your ranking in the search engine.

Self-centered contents

This type of content is hated by almost all visitors. If your business purpose is to provide good quality service or product to your consumers but instead of talking in view with their perspective and how can they benefit from your services, your content reflects only you. “How you am helping them”, “How you came up with this”, “Why you use this”, etc., everywhere only “you” not the consumers which leaves a bad taste in their mouth and cause you to lose potential customers. So it’s best to think from the consumer point of view of white writing content.

Plagiarism

Plagiarism is the act of copying the paragraph or sentence of another site’s content without their permission. This might not only put a ban on your website but you might have to face a lawsuit for a copyright claim. Your business might shut does or even worse you might even get banned in the industry.

So it’s best to never copy others’ work line by line and call calamity for yourself. Huge amount of typos and grammatical mistakes One of the others greatly agitates the visitor in a bad way they find a huge amount of typoes and structural mistakes in your content. What’s worse than in some cases typos have the same pronunciation but different meanings which may lead to a misunderstanding between you and your consumers. Such as support you are selling a product that generates warm air known as a “Heater” which is very popular in winter. But instead on the site, it was written as “Hitter” which is used in sports who hits the ball with a bat. Totally different meaning but sounds the same.

Other than this there are also grammatical mistakes. Like instead of writing “There is 25% discount offer on our heaters” you have written “There was 25% discount offer on our heaters” which may lead to consumers believing that the offer is over and cause potential consumers to be lost.

Conclusion

While you may think that you have always avoided such mistakes it’s still better to check them before publishing your content. You might take a liking to a sentence from another continent, in order to save time you might have copied it causing plagiarism, or you might make some typos and forgot to fix them, or subconsciously you used a word too many times and didn’t notice it and so on. After all, to err is human. It’s natural for one to make mistakes. So, it’s best to keep an eye on your writing and check it once in a while to avoid such mistakes
